Crazy Wallflower Wall Sculpture is a porcelain wall piece inspired by architectural fragments and botanical forms, where structure and ornament coexist in a delicate, irregular balance.

Each sculpture begins on the potter’s wheel and is later altered and built by hand. The form is opened and transformed through sculptural interventions. Decorative elements are introduced at different moments of the process, both before and after the first firing, using crawling or fluid glazes that create textured, unpredictable surfaces during the final high-temperature firing.

Conceived purely as a wall sculpture, each piece celebrates material, process, and transformation. Irregularities in form, surface, and glaze are intrinsic to the work and define its singular character.

Black grape

A wall sculpture composed of a clustered, grape-like form made of black porcelain spheres, coated with a soft, glossy white crawling glaze. The glaze breaks gently across the surface, creating rounded, organic patterns rather than sharp fissures. The stem is left in unglazed white porcelain, satin-matte and smooth, emphasizing the contrast between texture and material.

Notes

Each piece is entirely handmade. Slight variations in dimensions, surface, and glaze response are part of the making process and enhance the uniqueness of the work.

“Seed N°1” is the first piece of the Seeds series, a hand-thrown porcelain sculpture exploring layered surfaces, organic form, and tactile contrast.

The work is structured in three distinct bands of craftsmanship.

The upper section, entirely coated in sprayed black porcelain, forms a textured element reminiscent of a stem or natural growth. Its rough, matte surface contrasts strongly with the rest of the piece, adding depth and material presence.

The central band is smooth and carefully refined. It features delicate inlay decoration composed of small, rounded incisions that are carved and filled with contrasting black and white porcelain. These marks are fully integrated into the surface rather than applied on top. There is no glaze — all colour comes from pigmented porcelain itself.

The lower section transitions into pure white porcelain, where soft, closely spaced incisions create a flowing pleated texture. The surface evokes fabric, organic membranes, or natural growth patterns. The rhythm of the carved lines gives the sculpture a sense of movement while remaining visually calm and balanced.

The dialogue between rough and smooth, dense and rhythmic, dark and light creates a sculptural presence that invites both visual and tactile engagement.
