Organic Cactus-Inspired Composition
This one-of-a-kind porcelain sculpture is entirely hand-thrown and hand-assembled, created from white, black, and red pigmented porcelain. The composition is formed by multiple organic, cactus-inspired volumes that rise together as a unified sculptural piece.
Each element is wheel-thrown and refined by hand before being assembled into a balanced, contemporary ceramic sculpture. The surface decoration is created through an intricate inlay technique: patterns are carved directly into the porcelain and filled with contrasting colored porcelain. The decoration is fully integrated into the body of the piece — never painted or glazed.
The elongated, rhythmic motifs subtly recall botanical spines while maintaining a refined, modern aesthetic. All color comes from pigmented porcelain itself. There is no applied glaze.
The surface is meticulously sanded and polished to a smooth, silky finish, enhancing both the visual depth and the tactile experience of the sculpture.
