Organic porcelain forms - seed n°2

“Seed N°2” is a one-of-a-kind porcelain sculpture inspired by the archetypal form of a seed — a symbol of origin, protection, and transformation.

The piece is divided into two complementary sections. One half features a perforated, highly textured surface with circular openings of varying sizes. This area is coated with sprayed white and black porcelain, creating a matte, granular grey finish with strong material presence.

The other half is smooth and carefully polished. The upper surface is decorated with intricate inlay patterns: hand-carved incisions filled with contrasting porcelain, fully integrated into the body of the piece rather than applied on top. There is no glaze — all colour comes from pigmented porcelain itself, becoming structural and permanent.

The contrast between rough and smooth, solid and void, interior and exterior creates a balanced organic tension. The sculpture invites both visual and tactile engagement, evoking natural forms such as seeds, shells, or marine structures.
