This one-of-a-kind porcelain sculpture evokes the form of a seed — compact, organic, and quietly dynamic. Wheel-thrown and carefully refined by hand, the piece balances weight and movement within a sculptural, asymmetrical volume.

The exterior is fully covered in sprayed black porcelain, creating a matte, deeply textured surface with a raw tactile quality. In contrast, the inner section surrounding the central opening is smooth and finely polished. A delicate band of small inlay marks encircles the opening: each detail is carved into the porcelain and filled with contrasting porcelain slip, becoming fully integrated into the surface rather than applied on top.

There is no glaze. The decoration is entirely embedded within the porcelain body itself.

The central aperture enhances the organic character of the sculpture, suggesting natural forms — a seed, a shell, or a marine structure. The interplay between rough and smooth surfaces creates a refined material contrast, inviting both visual contemplation and touch.
