Crazy Wallflower — Pollen is a one-of-a-kind wall sculpture entirely handmade in porcelain.

The flower is built around a richly textured, dark surface, covered with black porcelain. In contrast, the interior is carefully smoothed and sanded to create a remarkably soft, almost silky surface. This tactile contrast between the rough exterior and the smooth interior is an essential part of the piece.

The white interior is decorated using an inlay technique: each line is individually incised into the porcelain and filled with contrasting porcelain before being carefully cleaned back, creating a delicate radial pattern that follows the movement of the flower.

At the centre, a sculptural porcelain form emerges, covered with small hand-modelled protrusions in black, white and red porcelain. The touches of red bring a subtle spark of colour to the otherwise monochrome piece, recalling the pollen at the heart of a flower.

A tactile and highly detailed work, Crazy Wallflower — Pollen is conceived as a sculptural presence for the wall, somewhere between botanical form and imaginary organism.
